Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Fall-Winter 2016-17 ad campaign stars models Mariacarla Boscono and Sarah Brannon, who are clipped in front of colorful images featuring Chanel’s signature pearl strands or quilted cloths. The quirky and cartoonish campaign was shot by Karl Lagerfeld with styling by fashion editor Carine Roitfeld. Hair stylist Sam McKnight and makeup artist Tom Pecheux (Calliste Agency) added the finishing touches. Chanel’s fall campaign seems to be just the dose of fun all those uptight September issues needed.

“I was tired of a girl holding a bag,” Lagerfeld told WWD of the new direction for Chanel’s ads. “I wanted to make collages. I love collages and I thought the collection was really suitable for collages. I wanted to do something else that we have never done before.”
