During the Milan Men’s collections Dolce & Gabbana added a new twist to the social media arena by inviting YouTube and Instagram influencers from the millennial generation to be their Fall 2017 runway show.  The design duo sent a mix of models, influencers, and offspring of clients down the runway in what was called a “choose-it-yourself” show. Model and fashion influencer Luka Sabbat confirmed backstage that he and his fellow models wore only what they wanted, stating – “I wouldn’t do this, otherwise.”

Stefano Gabbana, who threw his first fashion show at age 19, said backstage, this was Dolce & Gabbana’s exercise in generational collaboration: “These guys are representative of millions of young people. We are not so young anymore. So it’s very interesting for us to try to understand what they love and don’t love.”
